Cook once, solve several days
Weekly batch cooking: plan meals to cook less during the week
Batch cooking works when it is more than cooking a lot in one day: it needs a weekly plan, combinable dishes, clear portions and a coherent shopping list. Menu Diario helps prepare that structure before cooking starts.
Choose recipes that reuse well
Not every dish is good for batch cooking. Prioritize versatile bases, stews, roasted vegetables, grains, legumes and proteins that can combine in several ways.
Plan by blocks
An efficient session separates base preparations, complete dishes and complements. That lets you solve different meals without eating exactly the same thing every day.
- Bases: rice, pasta, potato or quinoa.
- Proteins: chicken, legumes, fish or tofu.
- Complements: vegetables, sauces and salads.
Assign cooked food to the calendar
Planning prevents lunchboxes from having no destination. Each portion should have an approximate day or a consumption priority.
Reduce decisions during the week
The goal is not perfect cooking. The goal is starting Monday with part of the work done and fewer decisions pending.
